Description
The SVS Ultra Surround is a dual-baffle surround speaker built around dual 5.5-inch glass-fiber woofers and a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter, designed to deliver detailed, immersive surround effects with hard-hitting impact. Dual isolated crossovers allow bipole, dipole, or SVS Duet Mode operation, letting the same speaker expand a system from 5.1 to 7.1 or beyond without adding cabinets. It's available in Piano Gloss Black or Real Black Oak Veneer finishes, sold as a pair.
Features
- Dual isolated crossover networks enable bipole, dipole, or SVS Duet Mode operation
- Dual 5.5" composite glass-fiber woofers for room-filling low frequency and midrange output
- 1" aluminum dome tweeter with FEA-optimized diffuser for wide, even dispersion
- Vertically aligned tweeter and woofer configuration reduces lobing and comb filtering
- Non-parallel cabinet panels reduce internal standing waves and frequency response coloration
- Aluminum wall-mounting bracket with safety catch, or freestanding on a speaker stand
- Chamfered, wedge-shaped front baffle with flush-mounted drivers to reduce edge diffraction
